INTERACTIVE FIELD GUIDE
Choose a support situation
Explore how the conversation can continue when a person needs to help.
Explain what the business already knows
A visitor asks which services are available in their area.
- 01Customer uses a Line
- 02AI reads business context
- 03Explain available services
- 04Offer the next step
What you configure
Service descriptions, coverage area, approved answers and the workflows allowed on the Line.
Check before launch
Try an address outside your service area and a service you do not offer. The assistant should acknowledge missing information.

Continue the conversation with the team
The customer explicitly asks to speak to someone.
- 01Customer requests a person
- 02Apply your handoff rules
- 03Team reviews shared inbox
- 04Member replies with context
What you configure
How your workflow handles a human request, who checks the inbox, and whether AI responses should stop during the handoff.
Check before launch
Confirm a member can reply and that the configured assistant does not compete with the human response. Do not promise immediate availability unless your team provides it.

Keep an unconfirmed quotation with the team
A repair request needs a staff member to check scope and availability.
- 01Collect repair details
- 02Identify missing confirmation
- 03Team checks real availability
- 04Reply with an agreed next step
What you configure
The details needed for review and the boundary between information the assistant can explain and decisions staff must confirm.
Check before launch
Try an incomplete request and an impossible deadline. Make sure the assistant does not invent a price or booking.

“Can I speak to someone?” is a reasonable customer request. Sometimes the question is unusual. Sometimes the customer has already tried the obvious steps. Sometimes they simply want a person to listen.
An AI assistant can help with routine questions and gather useful context. Your team still needs a clear way to step into the conversation. In Chatigram, that starts with the workflows attached to your Lines and the people answering through the Unified Multi-Channel Inbox.
This guide walks through a handoff you can design for your own business. The examples are configuration ideas, rather than a claim that every routing rule arrives preconfigured.
Start with the questions AI can answer well
Think about the last ten conversations your team handled. Which answers came from information you already publish: opening hours, service descriptions, delivery steps, or the details needed for an inquiry?
Those are useful first responsibilities for a Business Agent. Provide the relevant business information and test whether the assistant can explain it clearly. A local repair business, for example, might let AI explain its service area and gather the type of repair needed. A quotation that depends on inspecting the problem should remain a task for the team.
Write down the boundary before building the workflow. A short rule such as “explain our services and collect the request; do not promise availability or a final price” is easier to test than “handle customer support.”
Connect the conversation through a Line
A Line is Chatigram’s connection to a messaging channel. You can set up website Livechat, Telegram or WhatsApp Lines and choose which workflows are allowed to run on them. One workflow can be used across several Lines.
For an existing website, embed Livechat using the code provided in the Line settings. For your own application interface, review the Line’s API access and webhook options. Keep the customer experience consistent: explain what the assistant can help with and how to ask for human support.
The platform guide explains Lines in more detail. Reusing a workflow is useful, but each channel’s connection and presentation still need to be configured.
Decide what should bring a person into the conversation
Three situations are worth planning for:
- An explicit request: the customer asks to speak to a person.
- An information gap: the answer depends on details the assistant does not have.
- A business decision: a staff member needs to review a quotation, complaint or exception.
Configure your workflow around those situations using the available logic and chat actions. Verify how your chosen setup stops or limits AI replies while a person answers. Avoid telling the customer a handoff is complete until the expected state or action has actually happened.
Chatigram organizations can include admins and members. Members can answer conversations from different Lines in the shared inbox. Agree internally who checks new requests and what happens outside working hours; software cannot establish those responsibilities for the team.
Pass useful context, without inventing an answer
Imagine someone asking whether a repair can be completed before Friday. The assistant has collected the appliance type, the symptom and a preferred contact method. A staff member can continue from that conversation, ask the next useful question and check the actual schedule.
The customer should not need to start again. Before launch, check what your inbox displays and whether any additional workflow summary is needed. If you generate a summary, keep it factual: separate what the customer said from what remains unconfirmed.
An appropriate reply might be: “I have your repair details. A team member will need to check availability before confirming a date.” Use a response-time promise only when your team can support it.
Test the awkward conversations too
Try an ordinary question, a question with no answer in your business context, and a direct request for a person. Then test a customer changing their mind after the handoff.
Check that the conversation appears in the intended Line, that a member can reply, and that the assistant does not contradict the staff response. Repeat the test through every channel you plan to use. A good website experience does not automatically prove your Telegram or WhatsApp connection is configured correctly.
Measure whether the customer gets a useful next step
For your initial review, look at a small sample of conversations. Could customers find the information they needed? Did a person receive enough context to continue? Were any requests left waiting without explanation?
Those observations are more helpful than counting automated replies alone. Improve one recurring problem at a time: clearer business information, a better question, or a more explicit handoff rule.
